Sculptures in light. Poltrona Frau presents its new collection of lamps designed by Jean-Marie Massaud and exclusively hand produced by glass masters from Murano. Both design and craftsmanship come together to give life to unique works of art. The rigour and cleanliness of the lines are enhanced by the purity of the blown glass. Here for the first time, Poltrona Frau interprets its vision of light, with the contemporary style that has always distinguished the brand. Glass, an intrinsically fascinating material. The four models of the collection, two table lamps and two floor lamps, mould their transparency into sinuous shapes.
Here we have Alma, a desk lamp made entirely from glass with a fluted surface and layering of geometric forms: two bells stacked vertically to form a luminous hourglass.
Dido is a reworking of the classic lampshades typology. The structure on its rectangular base gives the glass a clean line, enchoed in the squared-off shade made from ice coloured fabric.
Drops of transparency blown by master glass craftsmen. Above its varnished metal base, the Fede lampreveals its Decò soul in a necklace of glass bubbles circling the stem. The squared lampshades is made in double layer with ivory coloured fabric covering.
The floor lamp plays with soft, soaring lines, from the stem of the Holly lamp. A stylised woman's profile supports the lampshade. The glass mutates as solid appears liquid, moulding itself into volumes and voids of exquisite visual beauty. The lampshades is made in double layer ivory coloured fabric covering.
